I started tattooing over 20 years ago, and still have a passion for it! When I decided to open up my own shop, I wanted to maintain the importance of being a professional tattoo studio along with building a creative space for my clients and myself to enjoy. I'm glad I ended up doing tattoos all these years, which has more than fulfilled my love of doing artwork for others. Other obsessions in my life include dinosaurs, science, music, and I am a huge animal lover. I am also very lucky to have a very artistic family with a huge influence in music, and an amazingly supportive husband.
What do I like to tattoo?
I get asked a lot "what are your favorite kinds of tattoos to do", and I usually answer "all of them"! One of my favorite parts about being a tattoo artist is the wide variety of artwork styles and imagery I get to do for just as many varieties of people. I love doing everything from huge back pieces and full arm sleeves to teeny tiny ones. Realism, minimalistic, abstract, American traditional, cartoon, tribal, black and grey, color, you name it I love it! All tattoos can be fully customizable, all you have to do is ask!
What is "Ink and Paint"?
I chose the name of my studio for what inspired me as a child when I started drawing for the first time- all the hand drawn animation! "Ink and paint" was the artist department in animation that transformed the pencil drawings onto the actual painted "cels" used to animate cartoons, they literally inked and painted them all! I lost interest in doing animation as I got older because so much animation changed to being done on computers instead of being hand drawn. Being able to do art that is still "DONE BY HAND" is very important to me, and I am thankful for tattooing to allow this to be my full time job. Swap the animation "cels" for skin "cells", and I am your artist!!
